Gods Feminine Aspect

God’s Feminine Aspect
Those who are familiar with the Vaisnava appreciation of the Vedas will immediately recognize that when they read God’s Feminine Aspect we are referring to Srimati Radharani, the Supermost Divine Goddess. The Vedas do not limit the highest understanding of the Absolute Truth to either a Male or Female deity. Those individuals realize that the pinnacle of all spiritual understanding matures in awareness of both aspects such as Radha & Krishna, Sita and Rama, or Laxmi & Narayana. Also notice here that the Female energy of God is always honored first because She plays the vital role through whose mercy we can approach the Male aspect of God.
Ironically however although the anthropologists and historians acknowledge the existence of some ancient Matriarchal oriented civilizations, they were certainly not as common as cultures with Patriarchal leadership. The Goddess movement popular today seems to be the expected blow-back from the prominence of civilizations and faiths that are male dominated. The sentiment for integrating more of the gentle qualities of a women back into our modern world are consistent with how the Bhagavad Gita describes the qualities of a woman:
“Among women I am fame, fortune, fine speech, memory, intelligence, steadfastness and patience.” – Bhagavad Gita As It Is Chapter 10, “The Opulence of the Absolute”, Text 34.
Unfortunately however, the good intent behind the Goddess movement has become contaminated by the delirium which has given rise to the whole New-Age movement. People are so anxious to want to know a bit about Gods energy they are grasping at anything that seems close to represent it and thus there is a whole movement known as Wicca which is basically a worship/respect for Mother Nature and Mother Earth. It has it’s roots in the traditions of the American Indian but because it is so tied to some of the most visible and essential aspect of the material world such as the seasons, tides, ecology, and basic agrigulcurtural principals, it is must be recognized as some type of Virat Rupa worship. (Acknowledgement of Krishn in His form as the Universe) But because it falls short of acknowledging the Personality of Godhead, Sri Krishna, it does not fully satisfy the soul for those seeking a complete understanding of the Absolute Truth.
