“No Doubts” LA Vyasa Puja Offering LA 2023
September 7th, 2023 was the date for Vyasa Puja this year in Los Angeles. I share with the audience how we are reaching out to other religious institutions in Ojai to encourage them in their quest for understanding God while also learning more about what their understanding it. The exchange has been meaningful in both directions. What we have discovered is that people in the mode of goodness are the ones inclined to attend a church or a synagogue but when they open up and discuss what is going on inside, many are very confused and even unsure about the conundrums in the Bible and even if there really is a sentient God. We learn from the biography about Mother Teresa, who was canonized as a saint by the Catholic Church, that even she had serious doubts about the existence of God! My offering elaborates on this disruptive model and how Vaishnavas do not face this dilemma!
