Dhira Govinda Self Deception

Dhira Govinda (David Wolf) holds a PHD in Behavioral Science, is an accomplished author, is well-studied in the Gaudiya Vaishnava Tradition of Bhakti Yoga, and earns his livelihood leading the Satvatove Personal Growth Institute. Using his knowledge of Bhakti and the Socratic method he hosts powerful seminars to help his clients develop alternative perspectives on the particular issues of life that have impeded their ability to take care of the self, -mentally, emotionally, physically, and spiritually. He is particularly skilled in administering the essence of healing and transformation necessary to coach people along to become fine human beings capable of changing the world in a very positive and honorable way.
It is therefore difficult to comprehend how such a highly skilled individual could fall under the Svengali tactics of Nico Kuyt. Mr. Kuyt has a 40-year track record for destroying families, communities, bonds of trust, and general peace wherever he goes. When he exhausts his reputation in one place and his mania is discovered, he runs like a fugitive to some other distant corner of the globe to find new, unsuspecting victims to exploit with his well-honed dishonest ways.
Nico is responsible for creating two of the most destructive forces against the pure teachings of His Divine Grace A.C. Bhaktivedanta and he derives great satisfaction from luring the unsuspecting and wounded into his sophomoric understanding of Krishna Consciousness. Those two perversions are: 1)The RtVik-Charade, which completely sabotages the classic master-teacher apprenticeship method of tutoring necessary to comprehend the Vedas properly. 2) The terrible rumor that highly accomplished senior disciples went mad and conspired to poison their beloved guru whom they had given the best years of their life serving. Ie. The Poison Conspiracy (P-Con)
ISKCON, popularly known as the Hare Krishna movement, began with a handful of young social revolutionaries in the mid-’60s. Although the ageless wisdom taught by Bhaktivedanta Swami is profound and life-changing, many of his disciples who followed him were immature or naive about the ways of the world. They had trouble grasping the scope and responsibility for leading this revived orthodox, worldwide religious organization they inherited from him after he departed in 1977. Although everyone was well intended, it was only a matter of time before the school of hard knocks came knocking and monumental growing pains had to be navigated.
By the end of the millennia, classic power struggles began to arise. Those seeing power but did not get it became envious, while some who had been granted leadership positions misused it and suffered from the consequences. Nico had become particularly bitter after having been removed as the Temple President in New Orleans when the first signs of his vengeful disorders began to show. He was hell-bent on getting even, and what better way to do that than to attack ISKCON leadership at the top? That was the real origin of the dastardly allegation that senior men, particularly TKG, murdered HDG, so they could push him aside and become the supreme, absolute leading authority in ISKCON!
Virtually everyone who has worked around Nico confirms he is a very troubled soul including his string of wives and own children who will have nothing to do with him. Dhira Govinda acknowledges Nico’s personal history of mendacious behavior but when evaluating the P-Con propaganda, which originated with Nico, he completely disregards it. Dhira Govinda is entrapped by the clever excuse Nico uses to glean support from those who are aware of his mental illness: His plea is: “One should embrace the policy of retrieving gold from a filthy place.”
Fine, but… “Is what Nico selling gold, or just pyrite, fools gold?”
The way that can be determined is to use the same Socratic method Dhira Govinds uses in his Satvatove seminars to help his clients discover alternative perspectives on the issues that have held them back from the transformation that will heal their constricting beliefs.

There are numerous questions that require clear answers for any reasonable person to take the P-Con seriously. At the bottom of each of these slides are examples of the type of queries Nico would face in court and they explain why he cowers from any courtroom. His inability to distinguish illusion from reality gets him into a lot of trouble whenever he gets summoned to the courtroom to explain his behavior, and this has happened more than once! In my attempts to dialogue with Nico, he cannot answer even a simple question like; “Why do you state that Dr. Morris had years of experience analyzing hair with the NAA process when you were the first client he ever did a hair analysis for?”
Several questions about the so-called P-Con evidence have been presented but they are avoided like death because they are death to the P-Con ruse. On the rare occasion when Nico is boxed into a corner and forced to respond, his answer is like shrapnel. It consists of Chewbacca confusion, emotional outbursts, evasion, and more unsupported topic-changing diversions. Ie. Everything EXCEPT a straightforward, clear, and reasonable answer that an honest person seeking to know the truth would be earnest to provide.
This study was necessary because Dhira Govinda continues to endorse Nico’s madness. His behavior can be compared to a highly decorated Marine engaged in drug smuggling, child trafficking, or terrorism. The fact that Dhira Govinda holds a Ph.D. in Behavioral Science and should be able to perceive how Nico is manipulating his unhealed emotions confirms that he is very heavily invested in this fraud and unwilling to recognize his own self-deception. The Bible provides advice to Dhira Govinda’s wobbly inability to reason. “Physician, heal thyself” – Luke 4.23
Dhira Govinda has reached a level of worldly success equivalent to what some ISKCON gurus have attained although he exploits the RtVik charade so he does not have to feel responsible for accepting anyone else’s karma. That reflects a lack of personal integrity which will not go on unexcused. “What does it avail a man to gain a fortune and lose his soul?” Matthew 16.26 It appears Dhira Govinda is unwilling to deal with his past which keeps him from seeing how legally absurd the whole P-Con is. He is also under the peer pressure of those he associates with and that makes it nearly impossible for him to admit that the P-Con does not stand up to courtroom scrutiny. He chooses to support those so envious that they jump at the first opportunity to accuse seasoned Vaishnavas of murdering their own spiritual master. All of it is based on a juvenile understanding of jurisprudence, which is a travesty of justice, and a disgrace for him to endorse.
The inconsistencies in the P-Con script are so blatant, no objective professional takes it seriously. Dhira Govinda has it all backward and his decision to publicly endorse this slanderous assault is evidence of his own grand self-DECEPTION. The irony is he is the author of “Relationships that Work” which offers the tools to help him see how he has been fooled. Therein he teaches:
“Consciousness of what is true about ourselves is sattvic and is a doorway to genuine transcendence. We need to own our emotions and experiences before we can genuinely transcend them.” -Relationships that Work, Dhira Govinda, p.159
Dhira Govinda’s critique of DECEPTION is 95% emotions and opinions about why he “feels” the GBC can not be trusted. Chapter 11 in the book DECEPTION is entitled “Why so Much DECEPTION” and it summarizes the mistruths and double standards Nico presents in his propaganda. Dhira Govinda completely ignores those questions thus proving he has not “owned” the evasive emotions that steer him away from addressing them because they expose the P-Con as a complete fraud. As long as he supports the machinations of Nico’s evil vendetta, he will suffer the dishonor of that plight that is disgraceful for a man of his profession because …for a respectable man dishonor is worse than death. (Bg2.34)
TKG had absolutely NO reason to turn against Srila Prabhupada in the first half of 1976. He was on top of the world after leading the Radha-Damodara traveling bus party to extraordinary heights, managing the 13th story 55Th street Manhattan temple acquired in Feb 1966, coordinating the world-famous 1976 NY Rathayatra in July, and prevailing over the historic New York Anti Cult case in March of 1977. It could be said he was one of the most highly appreciated disciples Srila Prabhupada had. For some that fact alone draws out the envy of others and is why they join the P-Con battering ram regardless of what is true.
One does not need to be a Behavioral Scientist to understand how recklessly absurd the P-Con is but if one is trained in that field, like Dhira Govinda, and still can’t grasp how forced the P-Con is, they are either too wounded to admit it, or so shamefully lacking personal integrity they are completely unaware of it.
