Did He Or Didn’t He
Srila Prabhupada loved his disciples despite the mistakes they made and the problems they created for them. To train them he would sometimes make strong statements, but he was so humble and traditional he would have never concluded “…all of you are so helplessly incompetent that I will appoint myself to be the Jesus of ISKCON for the next 10,000 years!” He preached the traditional parampara system the way Krishna laid it out in the Gita for 11 years and did not change his mind during the last few months of his manifest presence. If that was the case he would have summoned a very big meeting and dictated very clear and unequivocal instructions about his reasons for such an unprecedented change to the Gaudia tradition!
