Description

The Six Philosophical Theories Attributed to Vedic Scriptures

This matrix is a very detailed wall chart that explains the six divisions of the Vedic Philosophy referred to in India as sad-darsana. 1) Nyaya, 2) Vaisesika 3) Sankhya 4) Yoga 5) Mimamsa 6) Vedanta These six philosophies are also later taught by the Greek philosophers. This large (48”X 36”) chart expands the Vedanta branch which began with Lord Krishna directly via Lord Brahma, Narada Muni and Vedavyasa but was disrupted by Sankarcharya in the 7th century. Vedic Siddhanta (Conclusions’) was then established by the evolving Vaishnava sampradayas lead by their respective acharyas which culminated upon the appearance of Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu. Under the Vedanta branch all four of the Vaishnava Sampradayas are included with the details of how the each contributed to Lord Caitanyas achintya-bheda-abheda tattva paramount conclusion. It dynamically illustrates the full scope of Vedic Philosophy and is ideal for teaching purposes in Vaishnava educational institutions, and posting wherever devotees congregate such as the prasadam hall.
