Debunking the RtVik Bungle
Towards the end of 1998 ISKCON was faced with a variety of growing panes. Srila Prabhupada had left this world 20 years earlier and the task of leading his Hare Krishna movement into the unchartered territory of the future was left in the hands of his disciples. They were so young and sheltered they had no experience in how to pioneer a worldwide revolutionary religious movement based on Vedic culture. It was a turbulent time and unfortunately, mistakes were made that led to conflicts and disappointment. Towards the end of the 20th century, some of the senior devotees who had accepted disciples had slipped from their leadership responsibilities. Some interpreted that to mean that nobody was qualified to give initiation and that line of thinking eventually led to the birth of the concocted RtVik theories.
By early 1999 it was evident that those proposing the RtVik concept of initiation would never be satisfied finding someplace within the existing ISKCON structure. Those pushing the RtVik Charade declared war against the traditional Guru-Disciple method for becoming a twice-born. The campaign became clandestine, aggressive, and confrontational. The followers of RtVik-Vada wanted to completely disrupt the core operating process that had already been well established. They knew full well that doing so would lead to a complete disruption to the internal operations of Lord Caitanya’s most powerful representation on the face of the earth today.
When it became clear that the RtVik agenda was to destroy the traditional parampara maintained by ISKCON there was no need to keep campaigning to see if a place could be made within ISKCON structure for an “Aspiring Devotee” type of initiation. So, I focused my attention on how contrived the RtVik concept was based on the contents of their holy spiral bound notebook humorously called: “The F0-Sastra” (Final Order)
The concept of post-samadhi initiation by His Divine Grace was promoted as the solution to these breakdowns and has since grown into a dangerous deviation that undermines what Srila Prabhupada taught for 11 years. Much was written to address this deviant and unfounded philosophy. As a service to those who really want to understand how fallacious the RtVik system is, counter-arguments for that propaganda can be found in the following collection of documents.
