Srila Prabhupada Wanted ISKCON to Work Cooperatively with Gaudia Math!
There is some misinformation being promoted by members of the RtVik-Vadas regarding Srila Prabhupada’s final instructions and how to deal with his Gaudiya Math Godbrothers. This should be of no surprise because the Gaudiya Math does not endorse the wild conclusions promoted by the advocates of RtVik-Vada! Mature Vaishnavas are quite clear that Srila Prabhupada would never institute something as absurd as posting himself as the Jesus-Like guru for the next 10,000 years.
This article provides clarification for those who are stuck in the PRE-1975 days when His Divine Grace advised that his students not get mixed up with his Godbrothers who he was concerned would only confuse his neophyte disciples. By the time HDG left his mortal body in November 1977, he was so anxious to have some of his Godbrothers step in to continue guiding his students, that he offered to build them a residence in Sri Dham Maypura if they would agree to accept it!
The RtViks need to perpetuate this myth to demonize the Gaudia Math who sees right through how silly the RtVik concept is. But how honest is it to ignore the fact that Srila Prabhupada later did what he instructed all of us to do: “He sought a way to cooperate with his Godbrothers!” He knew that would be the most effective way to spread Lord Caitanyas mercy to the rest of the world and in being open to them he also set the perfect example for us to cooperate with each other!
